  1. International Translation Day is celebrated every year on 30 September to raise awareness about translation and languages which play an important role for society’s development. The theme for this year’s International Translation Day is “A world without barriers”.
  2. President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated new campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad on 26 September, 2022.
  3. To offer enhanced air connectivity between Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Alliance Air have recommenced the Delhi-Shimla-Delhi flight which has been operating daily effective from 26 September, 2022.
  4. Former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad formally launched a new political party, named Democratic Azad Party (DAP), in Jammu and Kashmir on 26 September, 2022.
  5. INS Sunayna, an offshore patrol vessel of the Indian Navy based in Kochi, entered Port Victoria in Seychelles on 24 September, 2022 to participate in the annual training exercise ‘Operation Southern Readiness’ of Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).
  6. President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated integrated cryogenic engine manufacturing facility of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited at Bengaluru and also laid foundation stone for The Zonal Institute of Virology (South Zone).
  7.  Indian Railways has made 497 railway stations Divyangjan, aged, and children friendly by installing lifts and escalators at railway stations across the country under the ‘Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan’.
  8.  DRDO on 27 September, 2022 successfully flight tested the Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) missile in Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.
  9.  UP CM Yogi Adityanath on 28 September, 2022 inaugurated the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in Ayodhya on the occasion of the 93rd birth anniversary of the late singer.
  10.  Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda flagged off a Special train from Hatia railway station in Ranchi to Hosur in Tamil Nadu on 27 September, 2022.
  11. Tripura assembly on 27 September, 2022 unanimously passed a bill for establishing Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University in Manu Bankul.
  12.  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the ‘Visit AP’ campaign in Amravati on 27 September, 2022.
  13.  Indore city of Madhya Pradesh won the best ‘Civic Management of a Tourist Destination in India’ award. 
  14. The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the Mysuru Dasara Festival at Chamundi Hills, Mysuru on 26 September, 2022.
  15.  Legendary actress Asha Parekh will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2020 according to a recent announcement from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
