  1. On 29 September, the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste is observed globally. The theme for International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste 2022 is “Stop Food Loss and waste. For the people For the planet”.
  2. Every year on the 29th of September, people all around the world observe World Heart Day. The theme for World Heart Day 2022 is “Use Heart for every Heart”.
  3. The International Maritime Organization observes World Maritime Day on the last Thursday of September. This year, it has been observed on 29 September. The theme for World Maritime Day 2022 is “New technologies for greener shipping”.
  4. Daniel Spielman has been announced as the winner of the 2023 Breakthrough Prize in Mathematics.
  5. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on 26 September, 2022 launched indigenously-developed AVGAS 100LL, a special aviation fuel meant for piston engine aircraft and unmanned Aerial vehicles.

  9. Amazon is establishing its first solar project in India. Amazon’s three solar power plants of 420 MW will be built in Rajasthan.
  10. Air India announced that it has signed a definitive sale and lease back agreement with Nasdaq-listed Willis Lease Finance Corporation for 34 CFM56-5B engines installed on its Airbus A320 family fleet.
