  1. 26 September is observed annually as World Environmental Health Day across the globe. The theme of World Environmental Health Day 2022 is “Strengthening Environmental Health Systems for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals”.
  2. The United Nations observes 26 September every year as the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.
  3.  World Contraception Day is marked on 26 September with a focus on creating awareness about contraceptive knowledge and family planning.
  4. Indian Javelin thrower  Devendra Jhajharia has clinched a silver medal in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix, in Morocco.
  5. The first ever 3-day floating photo exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Central Bureau of Communication Regional Office, Imphal, Manipur, on 22 September, 2022. It kicked off at the Loktak Lake.  
  6. Leh district of Ladakh has achieved 100 percent digitization of banking operations.
  7. Chhattisgarh government has announced the ‘Hamar Beti-Hamar Maan’ campaign in the state keeping in mind the women’s safety and their empowerment in society.
  8. Sikkim gets India’s first avalanche-monitoring radar. The Indian Army and the Defence Geoinformatics and Research Establishment (DGRE) have jointly installed the Avalanche Monitoring Radar in North Sikkim.
  9. The Assam government will engage 2.5 lakh Jal Doot in the State to create awareness of water preservation and related issues.
  10. The apex edible oil industry associations from five major palm oil importing countries of Asia have come together to form the Asian Palm Oil Alliance (APOA).
  11.  India and Nepal have agreed to take forward the Sapta Kosi high dam project through further studies. This was decided at the 9th meeting of the Joint Committee on Water Resources (JCWR).
  12.  President Droupadi Murmu conferred the National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards for 2020-21 on 24 September, 2022.
  13.  Minister for Tourism and Culture, G. Kishan Reddy launched the two-day virtual conference ‘SymphoNE’ on 24 September 2022.
  14.  Former RBI Deputy Governor R Gandhi has been appointed as part-time Chairman of Yes Bank.
  15.  Science and Technology Minister Jitendra singh addressed the Roundtable on “Net Zero Built Environment with Connected Communities” on 23 September, 2022.
